The 2015 updates to the Australian Standard for forklift trucks significantly enhanced safety requirements, yet forklift trucks commonly exceed a lifespan of 20 years. Approximately half of the currently operational machines in Australia are pre 2015 and therefore are not compliant with the current standard. Under WHS legislation, PCBUs are mandated to employ all feasible measures for a safe workplace. This session will delve into the unique challenges for PCBUs as the operation standards set by machines compliant with the current Australian Standard becomes the expectation for a contemporary workplace.
